~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
         I’ll just have to sleep on it
   and consider the possible outcome
      crisscrossing my desires
    and with any luck, still remain awake
     enough to capitulate
   to your emotional syntax
   and incubate the passion
    to gather petals of your elusive nature
    and watch them bloom
 growing together like iridescent feathers
 from depths of night’s fragrant allure,
 blossoming with surprise and color
   budding with dreams bold and pure
love the beautiful internal and external reasoning and rhyme here, Kartero. Crisscrossing, lacing, stitching-up: seems like this kind of emotional dream patchwork is worth staying up for, whose outcome quilting will have a wondrous story to tell. Fabulous echoes of Blossoming Color in this one, too, so maybe it's that refreshing breath of cool night air that you need to aid and abet both a good night's sleep and a long night's active vigil. Great phrase: "capitulate to your emotional syntax", suggestive of both surrender on agreed terms and tactical play: clever dualism in small space of words. For activities which both, in their way, require some deal of concentration, this has a wonderfully relaxed feel and tone. Have a good night, Senor! :)) xx
Seems like a fine balance of heart and mind but you as always bring our thoughts into each line as we contemplate the rich tapestry of words you always offer.
It is a delicate balance between digesting the realities that surround a relationship and the desire to jump into the soothing passions of a physical encounter. My advice to anyone in this situation would be to sleep on it and reconsider taking up the physical in the morning when you can move forward with proper perspective. Such a lovely poem, Jude; soft and introspective.
Take care,
Sherry
Who could sleep when those emotinal thoughts assault the senses?
Dreams that gather the petals of elusive nature are worth to keep.
Jude, sleeping on it does seem to have it's benefits, but it's much better to sleep with someone that stirs your passion and sates your desires.
Peace, love, and light,
