cold night's heat

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
even now, our voices linger through the cold night air
                our words penetrating the sphere of shared dreams,
        vibrating, pulsating through  mysteries
     conjured up through the window of starry eyes
         where arms of feathered light tussle on shore:
     the tide slowly returns, fusing the naked grasp of lips:
     the twilight illuminates legs of hovering falcons
landing on moonlight limbs;
         ubiquitous, reminiscent,
             cuddling inside a nest of passionate vows
        diligently suspended over a drowsy horizon, declining to sleep,
         through the surging embrace of a cold night’s heat
... estan en Tarifa? Margarita?? Sounds like a good shot of Sambucar to me, lighting a fuse all the way through to the heart, softly lifting these lovers on the solid beat of eagles wings. "arms of feathered light" is a brilliant way of describing sun/moonlight through the swaying fronds of palms onto the sands beneath.
Dear Jude,
I meant to comment on this when it was first posted and thought I did. A little late but just as sincere are my words now: You are on my list of my five favorite poets and this poem is a perfect example of why. I hold you in high esteem my friend.
Write On,
Marcia
A crossing of realms, negotiation of coupling and transcending ethereal...composing poetry of this caliber is an act of focus and being in touch with spirit and self...this new format swirling style of yours would look fantastic as this poem being placed on your next book cover overlaid on a background of fog...Moods in Motion...
Beautiful, Jude. The rhythm was great, and the imagery wonderful. Enjoy the "cold" and the "heat" that comes with it.
This is so like a parallel dimension quest in its tranquil and rather alpha feel...like a daydream that takes us into another realm where we can pursue those desires and alternate realities that elude us in the stark light of the day. Deep and beautiful, love this Jude.
Take care,
