~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
inside our eyes
live dreams and mysterious worlds
both awake and asleep,
beautiful as well as menacing
we wander through these amazing volcanic forests
gathering the fruits of psychic experience,
ripe as well as molten
inside this rising veil of wonder,
life heralds all beginnings
and the harbinger of all ends
beginning to explore a wide variety of possibility,
finally refusing restrictions of worldly boundary
we arrive upon the summit of light and darkness
where polarity cancels out its predictable forces
and harmony relinquishes its control
inside our eyes
dreams gestate and die,
only to be reborn into a new and promising setting
Indeed they do. The potent sleep, the state of achieving lucidity. Conscientiousy evolving the dream. Life beyond the veil. These are all settings within which your thoughts here might be placed, and in which they live and grow. Love that penultimate stanza: reaching the "vanishing point" of light and darkness perhaps produces some amazing sort of "green flash" and... Bingo! Their poles (which have maintained the relational countertension) implode. The result?? A New crepuscular Eden, maybe?! Certainly a different plane of consciousness. The inner spirit never sleeps. Very eloquent and balanced writing that speaks of a settled world(s)-view. Quintessential ForEse... perhaps the eipicentral poem in Acts Of Flight? You gestate well! :)) xx
If we (humanity) weren't so affected by all the forces around us, the good and the bad, if we weren't so profoundly controlled by ever-evolving social madness, I wonder if there would be any fuel for a poets stove? Your continuing insights, Jude, allow the mind of the reader to elevate for a time above the terrestrial.
Superb work!
ahh..the lovely internal scheme and images that you always seem to amster...
amorphic to the voice you speak in this. . .
the circular, oracular vision of this lineage...
beautifully spun poetry.
with a soft underlining of sage.
good to read of you again.
inside our eyes
live dreams and mysterious worlds
both awake and asleep,
beautiful as well as menacing
Your first stanza tells in the most simple way the story of humanity. It is all about the dream and the mysteries to solve from birth to last breath. This stanza represents the good and evil, the up and downs, the dreams and disappointments of just living.
This was a spectacular piece in my humble opinion.
Jude,
the rhythms, changes, possibilities and indeed mysteries of consciousness and the unconscious...and then the breakthrough to a higher level.
Three lines of genius end this masterpiece:
"inside our eyes
dreams gestate and die,
only to be reborn into a new and promising setting"
Wonderful insight and "engineering of words" Jude.
Marcia
in this finely crafted poem, Jude; notably in the last three
..."And the dreams that you dare to dream, really do come true." Whatever we can dream, already is, it is simply a matter of allowing ourselves to live within the dream. Very nicely written, Jude.
Love this. Possibilities and rebirth are in the air. But not without death and dis-intergration that must first precede it, as is the natural order. Saved. Fantastic write, Jude!
When balance and clarity is present, you see from new "eyes". It is a deeply profound work of poetry that you have written, as always, deeply moving and intensive. I find that through dreams, my eyes are always stimulated and revived. One can be blind, but still can "see"! Insight is something that we are blessed with, something that cannot be taught but learned.
Thanks for this eye opening poem, Jude, lovely as always!
Much peace, love, and light my dear friend,
The mysteries of the inner mind and the potential that the human mind has at its disposal is staggering. The brain they say can do so much more but we have not learned as a race how to use it. Some such as those who have such talents as ESP are just a little bit more adanced in learning to use their brains. Things like deja veux, fore runners, seeing a refection of ourselves in a crowd and of course our darkest dreams and nightmares are just clues that there is so much more in side our heads than day to day life.
Thanks for your insight...always valued.
I wonder if we humans had been researching the wrong spectrum of our powers. Wouldn't have been great if we could have reset things going wrong or that had ended the wrong way if only we had research how to be better instead of how to win a war that no one wanted?
"Setting" is just a whisper, but even deaf people hear it.
