~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
the universe is expanding,
toning mystery with variation
an unfathomable composition of beauty,
growth and collision
mingling with the lawless law of wandering dreams,
budding design of life’s most graphic mind
within the soul of a bottomless whole -
is there more to existence than mere perception?
living the way of wayward thinkers
deciding where to go from here?
it is disappearing into a sunny landscape
growing up
all over again,
ascending under the tapestry of a distant shade
Makes me think of random free radicals and the agitation of molecules through heat. Perception shapes the nature of our existence, but the unseen action of an actual expanding universe where more is unknown than known makes all things a real possibility. I love this Alice-type look into the garden beyond dreams' revolving doors... The funny thing is, although I'm country born-and-bred, I have always often dreamed of growing up in a cityscape! xx
A fine insight Jude. An expanding universe, but expanding into what? I guess time will tell.
Elegantly mystical eloquence!
I enjoy the feel of this poem, and the way you keep your imagery in motion.
So many paradoxes linger...
Just as the rays of the sun can be bent.. then reflected in a new direction, so see I, you are headed to a new place, my Brother!
Beutifully illustrated, Jude.
Great expression, Jude. We should stop to think of the big picture more often, for our own good.
jude, from the far reaches of imagination and creativity you have summoned a perspective that stirs -- beyond the beyond and into the abyss of darkness there is the light of the human spirit -- you took me there on a journey of verse my dear friend -- I bid you love and peace -- Jon Michael
Love "the lawless law of wandering dreams", strong and evocative, like the whole poem. Interesting and existential questions arise from this piece, once again.
Mystery of a universe expanding
Known by no mans understanding
Unless given insight to the planning
And the foresight to plainly do the explaining.
Jude, you've got the inside track.
Perhaps it is us who are the illusion enwrapped within the infinite universe. How we strive for knowledge, yet there is always more...
Be always safe,
That which we believe we have already learned offers much more when we re-visit it with wisdom that was gathered farther down the road. That which seemed simple is now found to be complex and much more stimulating to the senses. Wonderful offering, Jude; I truly enjoyed this read.
Take care,
Sherry
Hey Jude,
I can see by this poem, you have found some new inspiration for writing. It is agreeing with you. This is one of your best poems to date. I feel a relief, a nuance coming into being here. Hopefully breathing meditations and relaxation has helped your state of mind. I can feel positive vibrations within each line of this most telling poem. Sunlit is written as a positive affirmation of moving forward and seeing the light. Tapestry of a distant shade, can be a calming relief from the heat! Sometimes we need to come out of direct sunlight in order to "see".
I shall look for more of your inspired work! I enjoy reading your deeply moving poetry. Always an enigmatic journey with you.
Much peace, light and love,
Amber
When we have learned all there is to learn, we have not learned enough. There comes a time when we revisit earlier times and thought, leaving him again in our minds until the shade draws in.
Reality versus perception in order to debate both we would have to believe that man is already all knowing...many notably wise men thought that and yet man keeps learing more about the universe around him every day....
