~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am falling through a cloud
        twirling ‘round and ‘round,
 a freefall with no beginning or end
 I don’t know if I’m up or down
             or how I’ve gotten here,
     but as I pass a passenger ship
           I remember I’m dreaming,
        the logic of the situation befriends me
       oh, I wish I had a parachute
        I wish I could descend real slow
             no sooner thought of,
   I’m holding onto red nylon chords
              as a bright yellow parachute
         ripples in the wind above me
     I have to admit,
       the mystery and outcome
       is both daunting as well as exhilarating
            as I break through the cloud
       I’m find myself inside another misty apparition,
         a dense fog raining crystal balls
          with rainbow bubbles surrounding me
       there is a lighthouse in the far distance
                     and I can taste sea salt on my lips
            and see the moon through a clearing in the fog
   my legs waltz in the wind
           and as I get closer to the ground
       my heart is pumping so hard
              I feel as though I’m in a musical
         dancing to the beat of tropical drums
there’s a stage of souls waiting just below me
        having performed in a play
        they’re all waiting to take a final bow
                  as I land between their eyes
   there’s a giant curtsy
           aimed to the stars dancing beneath my feet
Hey Jude,
And what an entrance you have made in this dream. What will the performance be like, with an entrance so grand as this parachute thrill. As I read your poem, for the second time, I began to open up and feel what you were dreaming about. So many visuals brought me to mind. I especially love the part where you see crystal balls raining through the fog, it sounds exciting. I have never parachuted, but in my dreams I too, fly, and it all seems so real.
Thanks for sharing your flying adventure, looking forward to more dream juice poetry...I really need to start writing my dreams down.
Amazing as always,
peace and love,
Amber
...ms. rosenberg might have words for this "hair-raising" adventure... yet regardless whether one 'knows' at this stage, or whether the stage is ready for a performance of a higher order or not... there is an epignosis that takes one back to the ancient greek amphitheatre... I see a hillside adorned with an audience alert and aware of what is about to befall... there is more to this dreamscape as you are no doubt aware... but the poplars swaying in the wind that heaves itself heavily off the Mediterranean have a mazey motion all their own and are writing our future in the passing of their pointy peaks through the canvass of clouds bowing before our throng... the throng of stars, that is...
...your tenth dreamjuice is as evocative as it should be for a 'perfect ten' ... j-for jubilance... jollity... Juvenalian...
...waiting for the topper...
Peace prevails...
A lovely free fall as to watching an eagle soar and descend.
Images of this dream spectacular beneath the stars.
Well crafted Jude.
There seems to be a saftey net knitted in to each portion of this freefall dream, Jude. As for me, I really love the dreams where there is no net and I must remind myself that it is I who is in complete control of every aspect of my adventure. If I get frightened by the fall then the obvious next step for me is to understand that I can fly and so I set off onto a new journey that takes me in whichever direction I wish. Yours is a most exciting journey, though, which I absolutely enjoyed experiencing. Seeing someone else's take on the dream is enlightening and in a strange way, empowering. Kudos!
Take care,
Sherry
Love this "jump", Amigo, that is most certainly to "lands the Titanic only dreamed about sailing to"! LOL! :)) The precision of detail is wonderful, especially ending with that knees-bent "curtsy" which is absolutely what happens when hitting ground from such freefall; legs walzing in the wind is another spot-on visual. Seems like you're Gene Kelly landing centre stage at the Palace Theatre in the cosmic version of Singing in the Rain! But, personally, I'm blown away by your opening image: I was looking at the cover of my desk-diary yesterday which has on it an abstract magnified picture of dandelion-clock spores being blown about, just like wee parachutes; I actually thought how doing such a freefall jump was still one of my unfulfilled ambitions in life, but somehow now I feel I've accomplished it: with grace, but also with maxed-out exhilaration, too! Rapturous applause to you, Senor! WTG!! xx
