god never defined the crux of the matter

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
my heart's captured
by hope’s passionate embrace
maybe it’ll send me on
to a land cushioned and controlled
by the might of love
such an intrusion I wouldn’t mind
on countless capillaries and nerves
I’ll rest my weary head
perhaps massage my bones and adjust my sciatica
or do some damn exercise
to reactivate that blueprint skin
I’ve become so attached to
I guess it’s always been my nature
to analyze at and evaluate
the enthusiasm residing within
magical bits of character
all genetically influenced
and spiritually arranged
by uncontrollable circumstances
intertwined with destined outcomes
I just want to catch
even a “small” glimpse of divine intervention
through love’s nous and courage
and pure color and form
I want to stand without staring too loud
maybe I’ll make it through to the other side
by repairing the damage of misaligned free will
favoring nothing
rather allowing everything to rise upon its own resolve
'by repairing the damage of misaligned free will' - love this line.
Excellent poem.
This piece contains a great amount of substance, from the title on down through the lines. The overall feeling of this poem reaches far and wide for me -- splendid fragments: "might of love," "the enthusiasm residing within/magical bits of character" just curls my hair it is so wonderful. These last nine lines are filled with enlightenment . . . "stand without staring too loud," ( I really love the uniqueness of that) and "favoring nothing." I actually want to BE those two words. This is my favorite of your writings, jude; but then I know you are not finished creating new blueprint, blackprint, redprint poems that I look forward to reading................~~ Diana
A very soothing write, Senor, in an existentialist 'pillow-talk' kind of voice, I reckon. To my mind, a beautiful companion write to 'whatever happens does' and a philosophical enlargement of it - e.g. of that skater's 'magical bits of character'. Very au naturel and as laissez faire as the wind that blows and the grass that grows which, 'rising upon its own resolve', is provoked by the love-energy of creation's sovereign power: you've captured a very Blakesian moment and a small glimpse of divine intervention which is as his 'world in a grain of sand'. An innocent augury, Kartero, and I can really get with reactivating that blueprint skin today - having been doing just that with my therapist giving me some deep myofascial massage to relubricate all my connective tissues... Oh the burn, the burn - but it don't half feel good! :) The small tweaks you have made to this write have, as always, made all the difference. Nicely defined and another worthy of a recital to hear just how naturally conversational you make all this sound. sciatiKate xx
The damage of misaligned free will must be the crux of it. I can relate to that. What seems completely right, yet out of reach and we hope for that intervention.
Defining the crux of the matter merely requires utilizing the correct dictionary. Good luck finding that however. Patrick
With all the questions and analyzing the first two lines are our lifeline to all that matters. Wonderfully penned Jude.
My heart is captured by hope's compassionate embrace, the
enthusiasm residing within magical bits of character. Yes,
to catch a glimpse is divine destiny.
I particularly like your "damn exercise" and "blueprint skin," signifying both character and genetic traits leading to the same conclusion: we are all inexorably headed for the other side.
Since I don't expect a cushion there, I'm doing it all on this side before my blue blood runs out and I can't exercise anymore.
EINSTEIN, WHOM I THINK MOST WILL ATTEST TO BEING A VERY INTELLIGENT MAN, SAID THIS; WE LIVE OUR LIVES ONE OF TWO WAYS; EITHER WE BELIEVE NOTHING IS A MIRACLE OR WE BELIEVE EVERYTHING IS A MIRACLE. IT ALL STARTS WITH 'PRAYER'...A TALK WITH GOD. NO SPECIAL WORDS OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT...NOTHING FANCY...JUST REAL. BETWEEN YOU AND HIM. THANKS FOR SHARING...LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH. Love those lines, Jude. Is there any "believer" who isn't constantly looking for this. We hope, we pray and we search and we wish that there was just one small glimmer of something that will let us know that it is not all for naught, that there is a higher power and that there is something more when all of this is done. What have we not done out of the concern that we may jeopardize our hereafter? If it were certain yea or nay, I do believe that we would make many different choices. So we settle for love, because it seems to be something that is non-condemning. If we were certain that this is all there is, we would never settle for love, we would all live wild and free and use up every bit of ourselves in the process. Most thought provoking write, Jude.
Hey Jude
The crux of the matter, well it could be very obvious but it's not the knowing that is challenging but it's the doing that we all flounder on.
Sometimes you just have to take the bull by the balls oops I meant horns (lol) and go for the gusto! I would!
Awesome poetry my man!
Peace light and love
I quite understand that, Jude. I mean, what's it all about Alfie?
