I like this

The mind is revelatory in this version, rather than wiping out or forgetting. Allowing the spirit do the 'crossing over' instead of the mind makes for spiritual growth rather than mental oblivion - but it's the vision and fortitude of the heart that enables both. It forms its own ideas about what 'home' (natural or supernatural) it wants to be a part of and create. It's fascinating how you change nuance and meaning with the various interchanges of words and ideas. xx

and what a price we pay for that growth of spirit, jude!
the heart does get weary, but knows it must carry on.
