Mental Sex
© 2008
Dan Johnson

It is the truth,
Sex
is physical
In
Exercise and
Practice.
But,
It starts
Upstairs;
First, In the
Head,
Then slips
Surreptitiously
past your heart.
While working its way,
To where the blood flows
And
Ultimately stops.

When we first met,
You won my heart,
You stole my soul,
you gave new meaning
To our;
love-making,
Heart-taking
Body-shaking
Romance.
That is when I mentally knew
That I loved you,
And, I still do.

Dan Johnson

If it's not spiritual first, it's not worth it in the long run. Nicely expressed, Dan. Love and peace,

Dan, I agree 100% with Leysa Robertson, below! I too, am speechless that an old coot like you could write such a tender and lovely ode to sex, our gift to mankind. It flows. It knows. Its mission is complete, and I'm proud of you and your words. I'll tell Leysa to give you a hug, okay?
