Yesterday, a small sip it was granted
Looking at that landscape picture
Suckling from the tip
Of life nourishing nipple
Awakening small tremor of
Delight that was hidden
A soul thirsty for more
My soul needs a drink
The beauty all around
Images from far and a field
Hearing the sounds, melodies striking
Vibrating the core, resonating
A cool soothing embrace
The simmering sunset of your kiss
The whisper of your voice
Breathing in your breath
My soul needs a drink
Stuck in this drought stricken stare
Looking outward at all
Parts of my state
Fluttering away
Free of those lonely
Eyes of despair
Memories once shared
From this tree of living they fall
Stripped naked, brush stroked away
shed
Floating downward, into a spiral
This iconic decent, a pathway of light
Treasures now tarnished
Another day with out
Water
My soul needs a
Drink
