Strip it all away
Keep stripping the walls of
my heart and soul
Take it all away
I couldn’t give it to you then
maybe now you can just take
All
the pieces of the past
Toss them in the rain
leaving behind
Outlined images
Dust to dust
take take ,take it all
Away

Tracing patterns where a life
once existed
All those years
an Illusion

What did they mean
Where did they go
Did they mean anything
You don’t have to take
I would have given it to you
All
That would of meant
What,…..asking
something you never ever, could or would
want to do
Light a flame to the history
Fire a flame to the past
burn it all
Dust to dust
were only here for a little while
everything goes to dust
every thing must pass

The sadness of this piece strikes a chord within me...extremely well written and expressive

Wow, what a dark but revealing pen. Blunt honesty layered with a deep sense of mourning.

I wish you peace,

You just need time, space and the love and support of yore children who adore you! There are some that are completely alone and must look to GOD and theirself to make it through, thankfully you are not alone, so treasure each moment with yore children and bask in their love. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, you so deserve the very best. SC

Fatalistic, yet we do have to remember we are only strangers on a journey which as you say begins and ends in dust...yet, there is the eternal life to look forward to;-)Then we will no longer be strangers or dust!Hallellujah!;-)

Ah yes, life is so very short, therefore make the most of it and brush away all those things you find upsetting. Beautiful writing...

Be safe,

wow, like sifting through your own burning embers. .. a frail and honest open thing youve written.
this is all feeling, all emotive and vivid. ..
but how else can you make a pheonix?
through fire

keep being you~

Can feel the pain and frustration Stan, may the latter years be better than the former. A powerful expose' of emotions, well penned.

Strong, spit-fire words. Make some tea of time leaves. They say it heals all wounds--and breathe deeply. Even flames burn out eventually. --Charlie
