veiled in ambiguity; the sounds of life just exude in this. .. creates a metaphor for reality; how we see sometimes more without our 'sight', just using other senses; fingers, ears, taste. ..and such...well, some heartfelt innuendos and metaphors; a slight bit hurting, the other half heaving and needing. . .. jsut beautifully rendered. .

Not really looking at the lighter or brighter side of life, love, sex...
Does everything have to painful in life? Whether you give pain or feel it, it is still about pain.
Something striking about your poetry is the absence of a defined point of view and/or subject, which seems to shift throughout the poem, so that it becomes difficult to know where the writer/narrator stands in the action that is described. Here, there is an impersonal description, with a passive voice used for verbs such as "quartered", "dissected", until you suddenly use "I". But then, again, a "kiss" doesn't say who is kissing who... Identity is lost once again. Quite a tortured piece of writing.
Between the passion of disecting New Year's dinner... the passion of the heart becomes more elite. Boy! What a contrast!
