Rising in Phoenix

Start me off in
phoenix
somewhere …….. warm and
easy
so tired of waking up cold
long, long winter
another day, something new
breaking or broken
now, the boiler
refuses to
flame
<><><><><><><><><><><><><>

I’m going to hitch a ride on these
southern winds
wake up in the land
of milk and honey
away from kids
jumping
 out  A window
places were people get no better
I rather listen to the canyon’s
echo
watch the humming bird
dancing with nature
I’m going to
drink in the cactus bloom
rise me up, lift me higher
soon oh so soon
Phoenix

You definitely have a way of bringing the reader with you on a journey, like a collage with words. Beautiful. Amy.

Stan, really interesting write. I think it's part of our human dna to want to go to other places, God knows, I've done it enough times myself...anyway, safe travels, even if you just go outside to get the mail.

Peace,
Dan

the play of a phoenix, rising from the ashes, embers. .. a fire[man]. ..such an enticing flame, the abandonment of a skin to find a self somewhere in the course of a river in your veins. ..despite the cold, the burning within consumes you- --i admire your strength.
you smell like amber~

canyon's echoing is a fun thought when the wind whispers my name at 20 something degrees and the windows appear etched glassy

nice writ, ~D.

Sounds real good right about now. It's definitely been a very long, long winter.

I'll join you - oh, how I wish - hear Phoenix is lovely this time of year - it's just the scorching hot summers I wouldn't look forward to - thank God for AC! Excellent yearning here, Stan, well done.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
