I am
I was, I am a fighter
today, I surrender
let me go

My words, half may be yours
so, they say
you are
entitled
they are not mine to give
they are only
borrowed
from the source they came
to the source they belong
all things are but
loaned
let me go ,let me go

The ache is deep
the pain is long

It is time, it is time
let me go

Stan,
The captives of pain & grief are poets of beautiful words of truth.

Maybe the meaning to me is not what it is to others... but this made me want to cry as I thought of my brother in law who fought so hard against the cancer that ravaged his brain... and then begged to be allowed to go home, for his family to let go so he could go... and the release of the family, the pain, the life...
Sorry...it just got to me...

Great meaning and atmosphere in your words and between the lines. Many interpretations are possible. I think that all those who think that they possess should know that owning is nothing but illusion.

Thoughtful and self reflective look at life, and the shared usage of thought, ideas and yes words. Well put but to be let go implies that you were trapped and no one but self can imprison the spirit. Great write to dwell on.

. .. well, i ahve to kind of keep my mouth shut on this one. .. .words form and shape and pulse souls in some cases, and 1/2, 1/3, even 1/100 is just............ wrong. ..
and i detest the thought. ...
far away in the red desert sand, in a deep drippy cavern, under the groaning belly of the hungry world that can never eat us enough. .. bury the words there. ...give them back to the beginning of you. ..
or all along the watchtower. .. :}
just dont stop writing [i wont say fighting, because that constricts your soul as well after a while. .. ]
oh wait...i was gonna keep my mouth closed. . .
GOOSE!

Stan, no on can let you go; because no one owns you but YOU! If you want to go, GO! don't let fear or sorrow hold you back, run, run as fast as you can no one will catch you unless you want them to!
You are a free bird, now fly....
Peace, love, and light,
