Good Night Bedtime Bear

For a little while, you will stay
asleep

Safe, packed away till another day

Tucked in until, your sleeping buddy
bids, back from where he had to go again
so ……softly, I do seal you up
[excuse the couple of rain drops
the roof seems to be leaking still]
that little boy, now a warrior
I’m sure shall surely seek ye out
for bedtime dreams
you shared together.

.. . .. you know, I BELIEVE that bear needs and remembers jsut as much as the little boywarrior does; he knows a loving hand when he feels it.
i never had a carebear. .. but i did have star wars figures that i slept with; a cuddly chewbacca [that would be the big hairy wookie; he sorta looks like a sasquatch or a teddy bear.]
such a in.stan.taneous piece of memory, of emotion, of hope that all will come full circle, and no.thing will be alone or left behind. . .
toys have feelings to, ya know.
step by step, heart ot heart, left right left, we all fall down like toy soldiers. . ..
*sigh

It could be a bear or a favorite book or even a tiny sweater.. whatever it is we hold onto is so precious to us.. beautifully said, Stan..

Ah! What a sweet write! It has a Toy Story 2 feel. :~)
This one takes me back... Amazing the pull that those comforting arms still have, so many, many years later.
