 Land of Lost and Found

Searching for where
I belong

Looking for that Land
of lost and found……….of
Broken things
 to bad to number
shattered dreams and
unwept promises

Maybe up somewhere, higher
above the darkness, above the clouds
but then again………..i never did
comprehend
the talk of clouds, their way with words
always  jumbled, strung together
rumbling ,drumming echo’s

But listening to the
wind
that I understood
as it strips me down
piece by piece
 grain ,  grain
taking me through canyon valleys
desert floors

Resting me along muddy
waters
settled and still
shadows and light
both, reflecting
drifting, lazily, by
 silence

Disrupted with the song of birds
a muted picture of dreaminess’
just waiting for the butterfly’s
song,  to lift me up
to carry
me along then, maybe
I’ll
set my sail
To where I belong

Your work takes me on a journey and I feel enlightenment touch me with your words, I've never thought of "unwept promises", that is just a beautiful combination of words striking to the heart. I really like this one! Amy.

So deep in thought, perhaps philosophical in a sense, like dreaming while awake for something better to be found, well said....

Be always safe,

Maybe you can't understand cloudtalk, Stan, but
you've written yourself a helluva search for self
that, for my money, ended too soon. Excellent. - gene

Nostalgic, yet plaintive write...

Certainly, somewhere there is a place for your beautiful soul. I search also, but you know, home is where your heart is no matter what!
Peace, love, and light,

dream.i.ness
the talk of clouds [what a sublime thing to conjour]
you created quite a hush of words, a stillness of want, a yearning of belonging. .. .
only thing is, i ahvent seen scarcely more than two butterflies this year; normally, they are sweeping this place over. . .. wings so loud you could drown your heartbeat in them. .. .
you got me rambling...
the land of 'lost' is easy to 'find'.. ..irony finding the lost; losing the found is the tricky thing. .. . and what could be more found than selfdiscovery; an opening of heartboxes and moodrings to dream yourself, up. .. .
you need to read yourself some Rumi.
