modern poisons of accepted but contrived beliefs and attitudes, popular held beliefs of the moment, until a new pot is brewed constantly changing and being the bain of the moment, good futter for charlatans.

The witches brew!

A bitter sauce the honey pot

Sweet with vile and hate

Come ye all, lee, sue, and dot,

You were the perfect bait

Your taste from early youth

Filled by yearning trait

The pleasures your fulfillment sooth

Brought out your strident gait

You knew this be your treasure chest

Your pot of solid gold

You flung your coinage to the rest

To come and join your fold

Securely in the hive they be

Raped flowers trees in every field

From persecution free

Brought harvest golden yield

Wiggling pain for joy

All perfect in the world of oz

They had the perfect ploy

Promote their strident cause

The hum and sum of wings abound

Flying here and fro

Such happiness and Freudian sound

Always on the go

The honey pot grew larger still

Overflowed with muse and song

Like a trove that filled with swill

And thousand piglets strong

And yet, their favourite sting

Of pain is unforgiving

Deposed the sceptre of the king

And now as Gods be living

Their pain and sorrow soon overflowed

And ruined all the land

Knew Jung and Freud what they had sowed

New writings would demand!

The New Debtors' Prison by Paul Lonardo

While Debtors prisons no longer exist, many people continue to be persecuted for crimes related to poverty or inability to repay money owed to municipalities. This practice remains in an injustice that needs to be rectified.
