The machinations of war! Is it harder to love than to kill?

Love need not apply!

Dark pounding stalks of Beth

Recite poetry of death,

The devils handiwork

Sulphur and yellow fire by his side,

He cheers their falling,

His handiwork abide,

His future souls firing,

At his command,

No one left,

Of the angels in man,

Death and devastation is his joy,

His angels to deploy,

Blessed by the followers,

Of high counsel

Followers of God,

His power now immense,

No opposition against him plot,

No perdition,

All the players love him,

Love makes him hate them,

He does not want love, but hate,

Not kindness, but swagger,

Not truth, but lies,

Nor courage him deny,

Courage in killing the human brother,

No other courage need to bother,

Lies couched in truth,

To kill the youth,

That might love one day,

To have their say!

A sad commentary on the "state" of man's condition, Jasmin. Thank you. Love and peace to you,

We know from the source, that it will only get worse, because as your poem shows, people find it easier to hate than to love, because
they can only see what's in front of them and not beyond to the beauty and godly prosperity to come.

A sad pen indeed to think about yet found solace in the thoughts of those who because of their great love have fought, killed and many times died for that which they loved. Lady J

Is it harder to love, than to kill? It surely sadly seems that way these very sad days.

Jasmin, I wish not to meet you in a dark alley when you are gired in foul mode like this, (been with Stephen King lately?) throwing gargoyles and sulphur to unexpecting fellowmen and holding in which hand that Yorick skull?
Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!

This is a chilling rendition of Macbeth, and so concisely said. It is better than "Cliff Notes."

God bless you. Kathy
