Remembering my little Jazz

Poem Artwork

My little Sass!

Can it truly be? It can’t,

I just don’t understand,

An angel on the scale of ten,

Be such a devil now and then,

Holier than thou, she is to me,

I’m sure, even you could see,

She can’t do any wrong,

Her glorious halo, it's far too strong,

But then, what does she do?

Miss mischievous eats my shoe,

Brand new it was I told her so,

She couldn’t wait for me to go,

Near the door heard this commotion,

Full of growl and deep emotion,

A racket at the closed door,

My God! My shoe it was no more,

Innocent she looked at me,

Done nothing wrong you see,

Just some real fun I had,

Your shoe it was? That is too bad,

She had her quirks the little devil,

An even kilter was for her too level,

Mischievous when she wanted to,

To be her nature true ,

Like piddling where she’s not supposed too,

There again she liked my shoe,

Or in the middle of the night,

A cool wet spot my foot gave fright,

To let me know for certain,

Her taste buds to ascertain,

Peas and carrots hid behind the curtain,

With rebellion she was flirting,

And if I, on a wet piece slip,

This is for screwing up my food, you drip,

I swear, I’d see her grin,

The one, without a sin,

Or start a fight with someone bigger,

I’d swear I hear her snigger,

You fix it mate, go for the kill,

Defending little me, you will,

Sure, I could think of many more,

But I don’t want to make her sore,

I better stop right here,

She’s growling in my ear.

Now she says it’s her intend,

To bring my lying to an end,

To stop me talking anymore,

Again she piddles on the floor,

Sorry folks I have to end,

With mop and pail I have to bend,

This is how my time I spend,

I wonder where this Angel went.

If we get a reincarnation on the works and we can pickup which animal we wanted to be I will ask to be a dog with a loving human, although I have a condition, no chihuahua talking about no tacos.

Heeeheeee!!!! They're little angels, but mischievous ones. Lock up your shoes before you go to bed every night, or she'll chew them to pieces and think nothing of it!! Heeeheee!!!

Your little Sass, was, indeed, a mischievous furry little angel, and I know she now lives on in your heart and soul. And they truly can smile and grin; I've seen them do it, many times.
