A few thousand brutal fishermen hold the cowards in parlaiment hostage, while the general public, kind and gentle in spirit is outraged in what is done in their name, and with their taxes to boot.

Poem Artwork

No gas, no alarm bells, no guns, no fence,
And no defence, just gore and blood,
Smashed in skulls, no not Auschwitz,
No, up north a spot,

Like our emblem red and white,
Blood and ice do mix,
The true north strong and free,
Off key, the key it sticks,

In my throat, that’s where it’s stuck,
The vocal cords do not respond,
In my craw, my home and native land,
Your sons and daughters bond.

Dead bodies there should lie,
Between the space of white,
Millions there should lie,
Killed without a fight,

Not that I know this song this flag,
Dripping bloody melody,
Few thousand sing as one,
On lips of icy hearts at sea,

A land of riches and of gold,
From sea to shiny sea,
Their heart and soul have sold,
Kill seal pups for a fee,

To save their hide they smash the skull,
And skin them live the can,
Barbaric in a land of humane pride,
Though not for creatures, just for man,

Should I ever want to sing with pride?
Again that song, the north so true ,
Clean the blood from all that wide,
And fly the flag that’s true .

Jasmin,
And it sticks in my craw, too; again, your eloquent voice speaks out for innocence and against needless slaughter. You are an honourable and true man.

There are just no words to express how disheartening this practice, that needs to be stopped is. When is mankind going to learn that ALL life is sacred...

Be always safe,
Karen

I thought that you were talking about Stone Age, are Canada and Norway still there?

Truly barbaric, and horrific, and unstoppable, it seems. And I can feel your pain for your country here. Like our wolves, your seals now know we humans as horrendous monsters, not as fellow residents of this planet we all share.
