Rodeos why,
Entertainment at the expense of animals,

They don’t cry,
Just meat,
For entertainments sake,

They’re just to eat,
Just animals,
Horses, cows, chickens, pigs,

They’re not just meat, but too do tricks,
For heavens sakes,
Get with it folks, grow up your soul,
Oh I forgot,
Just fun, and eating, is your goal,
God’s admonition you forgot,
Be stewards of them all,
Oh I forgot,
Did it say abuse, I can’t recall,
Children of a lesser God you think?
Children you abuse,
Oh I forgot,
They are here for our use,
Compassion, care and heart,
Show them for a change,
Oh I forgot,
Your life need re-arrange,
Think higher than your human skin,
And all there is within,
Oh I forgot,

i WILL have to admit at the age of 10 i had to be admonished by my father for riding as though i was on fast moving machine rather than a living breathing horse that was also one of God's creatures....never forgot that message...i thought this was wonderful
Your poem reminds me of what St. Francis of Assisi said ~
"If you have men who will exclude any of God's creatures from the shelter of compassion and pity, you will have men who will deal likewise with their fellow men."
