Holy, Holy, Holy, ( all that He created ) is not our right to destroy it all, for the sake of creed, or greed, science, or our own selfish comfort, our creed to breed, no matter what.

A dam is bust, and all it held,
An earthly trust,
Too many busy hands, held awhile in store,
The flooding of the lands,
But fingers forced to open, splayed aside,
So many, many lives did end,
No rainbows see, unending floods,
A deep unfolding sea,

No place to hide, no earth too deep,
The sea is high and wide,
Cries in the night, no one hears, but me,
Such hardship and such blight,
Millions drown that night and more, millions struggling still,
Now all is death, once, where life before,
Loving creatures, mother, child, little mouse and groundhog too,
The many creatures of the wild,

All now dead, a million more, now struggling to escape,
From floodgates open door,
We, which live like Gods’ in hovels tall, of what we raped in mans domain,
Including creatures big and small,
Insatiable is our creed, more shopping malls to flood,
With billions of our kind our seed,
Our arrogance is our demise, when finally the day it comes,
We find that all we lived were lies,

Our just rewards, will flow our way, uncaring of our cries for help,
Too late, for us to pray,
If you can’t hear the littlest cry, of ant, or bumblebee,
You wail to heaven now, will HE, not say then, why should I,
Why ask me, that created all you have destroyed,
Cry on my friends, cry unabated,
Dissonant your songs, in halls of stone lifeless cold,
The image that of me belong sing no more,©16/05/2011

Jasmin, mankind as a whole suffers from the effects of our innate arrogance of absolute ignorance -- we meddle and muddle, diddle and dawdle -- when we should be trying to understand the greater whole of earth and all living things -- you have expressed this with an in depth view of reality -- I bid you love and peace my dear friend -- Jon Michael

If you can’t hear the littlest cry, of ant, or bumblebee,
You wail to heaven now, will HE, not say then, why should I,

Wise words you express in this most apt and timely offering, Jasmin. I have to admit I am having a hard time finding my smile again. Thank you, my friend. Love and peace to you,

Regis

Our arrogance is our demise,
when finally - the day it comes,
We find that all we lived were lies

With all the horrendous tragedies, and devastation, and life-ending episodes now occurring in this sad old world of ours,
including those of our own making, one would think that we human beings would now finally wake up. And very sadly, one would be wrong.

Sings no more, Jasmin, all gone...
eventually, and eventually isn't that far away,
who will care enough, who will try,
who will feed the cities?
As Dan says, Amen.
