A true story

I was THE SHITHOUSE POET friends
Of that I do decree
The things I wrote on the toilet walls
Was not biography

For years and years I wrote them all
It was my destiny
But someone wrote one on the wall
And pretended he was me

Who was this bloody upstart
That took my name in vain
And why the hell was he doing this
What was his bloody game

But his poems they were brilliant
Of this I must admit
And I found myself being jealous
Of this bloody witty git

So for years the battle it raged on
It went on for twenty years
But he wrote a poem to end it all
And I ended up in tears

For Gods sake don't let it end this way
I wrote upon the wall
The competition we have had
It really thrills them all

But alas he he would not listen
And he signed off one last time
And he wrote this heartfelt poem for me

TO THE SHITHOUSE POET, WHEN HE DIES
I SHALL HAVE ERECTED IN THE SKIES
A MONUMENT OF SOLID SHIT
A TRIBUTE TO HIS MIGHTY WIT
