MY IRISH LEPRECHAUN

Drinkers dilema

On a drunken bender, late one night
I caught a leprechaun
But he fought like blazes to get away
And the fight went on till dawn

So I tied the little bugger up
Cause' I knew just what this meant
The wishes he would grant to me
Would just be heaven sent

Then I dreamt of those three wishes
And I pondered for what I'd ask
Gold, good health, and a beautiful home
Yes' I'd soon take him to task

So sober, I opened the cupboard door
But I soon began to frown
The leprechaun I'd placed in there
Was a circus midget from town

I'm sorry, I blurted out to him
As the cops kicked down my door
But the little guy kicked me on the nose
As they forced me to the floor

Now I sit alone, in my padded cell
The straight jacket tied so tight
And if I was given one wish now
I would've stayed in bed that night

So if you visit Irelands shores
And a leprechaun you spy
Then you better see a doctor friend
Cause' your just as sick as I
