Ace in the Hole

that ace hiding in the hole
has the hots for the queen
of hearts on her thorny throne
 the jack of diamonds
shines his grin
winking that one eye
watching for a five and dime

the joker fell in the well
and got laughs all around
the king of spades took bets
on whether he would drown
and then dueces went wild
the roulette wheel tumbles
the dice say seven come eleven

then you draw a big zero
nothing, nada
so it's fold em up
save the ace for a rainy day
pulling off the poker face
the jack of hearts
fell in love

Love is a game of chance
just like the gambler says

"read em and weep"
