This poem is about a battered wife and he silent pain she is suffering when she is afraid to speak out.

I am a battered wife that is in pain
His anger and ignorance I can not explain

I can not say how I feel it hurts to deep
All I can do is sit here and weep

No one will listen to my tears
No one will understand my fears

My heart cries out my soul aches
I close my eyes wisjing to escape

You can plainly see, but no one can hear
There's no way out. so I live in fear

No one will speak up so the pain goes on
I thought you loved me I must've been wrong

No one can help, no one will try
Your to blame, but you deny

So I sit here and moan
Shattered and torn
in silence
