It’s the fourth of July.
Oh me, oh my.
It represents independence
and freedom for you and me.
I hope this is the way it will always be.
I just don’t know,
I have wondered lately if this is so.
I pray our freedom will live and grow.
We need to be more in the know.
To not only protect our freedom
and our rights,
but to be able to do it
without having to fight.
My memories of childhood
and the Fourth of July
was care free and innocent as could be.
I thought we would always
live in the land of the free.
To celebrate, we had soda pop,
watermelon, and ice cream.
Way back then, I never imagined
it would get to the point
where I would want to scream,
at the idiots now, who want to kill
and destroy our dreams.
We have to do things differently to
to keep our peace.
All this anger we must release,
and work toward love and kindness
between us all, so our liberties do not fall.
So we can celebrate the Fourth of July
with friends and family.
With watermelon, soda pop, hot dogs, ice cream,
and apple pie.
When we can do that comfortably once again,
we will know our country and its safety
and freedom is really on the mend.
God Bless America
God Bless all of our soldiers who have paid and are still paying for our freedom.

happy 4th
the fourth is my favorite holiday, i think, because of us being free
july 4ths will never be the same after 9/11, but we must still celebrate, because even though "THEY" knocked us down, we weren't knocked OUT :)
