The Gift Of Loneliness

Cold indifference sometimes places us dazed, confused and dumped amid the Season To Be Jolly. For those who are there, this one is for you.

You smiled and said that you hadn't a clue, what my Christmas gift would be,
So it was a total surprise when you walked out on me.
When in doubt, give the gift of lonliness,
Leave your so-called loved one, stunned, puzzled and trying to guess.
It's the gift that will keep on giving, the whole year through,
It will give lonely days and endless nights and time to think of you.
The frigid wind freezes the tears that I shed,
I feel like the trees, stark and dead.
I sit amid the remnants of our time together, each a reminder of you,
No red and green Christmas for me, mine will be somber blue.

LOneliness in the heart is a reflection in your own soul~!
So many decide to go it alone, on the Holidays and their are reasons why, I still would cry from the lack of togetherness inside!
Enjoy as you grow Sweet SC!
Enjoy your days and nights!
in what makes your soul light and bright!
Love your heart SC, been awhile that I got back here to read ya' but, when "I" do, I STAY awhile!
Happy! Holiday and the Seasons that follows!

I pray that your gift of lonliness might become the gift of solitude. You know all your friends at AD reach out to touch you.

This gift is a difficult one to receive. I remember my first Christmas a a divorced, single Mom - bummer, but better in many ways than others. Thankfully, it's in the past and I now have a wonderful husband.

Keep smiling. God bless you. Kathy

This strong and potent write has an ache that anyone who's ever had their heart broken can relate to. Christmas for the souls with broken hearts is a pain that is hard to live with but hopefully one we can always spring back from to love again.
