Another Christmas is coming and our troops are still not home. Please remember them and their families in your prayers!
Dear Santa, it's me, Jimmy Brown,
I know Christmas is coming and you'll be coming to my town.
I have been good as I can be,
I will leave you milk and cookies, beside the tree.
Santa, what I'm askin for, from you won't be a task,
Please use your Christmas magic to bring my Daddy home at last.
My Daddy is a brave soldier, fightin in a faraway place, so folks can live free,
This thing called, war, is why My Daddy isn't home with me.
Since Daddy is at war, My Mama, is always so sad and Santa, she cries,
She tries real hard to smile for me, but I still can see tears in her eyes.
I don't understand about war, why does it exist?
I just know that it takes my Daddy from me and he isn't here for me to kiss.
My Daddy is my bestest Buddy,
I bought him a brand new glove, so he can play catch with me,
I wrapped it all by myself and put it under the tree.
Santa, please, bring Daddy home to his little boy,
I just want Daddy and you can give some other kid a new toy!
LOVE, Jimmy

Perfect, SC, and I hope you will get this out on the blogs so it can make the rounds. Super piece :-)
"...just give me my Daddy and you can give other kids new toys..."
I have read this kind of letters many times, reading once more doesn't get any easier when soldiers are commanded to fight because someone else screwed up!
The children of servicemen are always given a hard time to get through the special times without their mothers or fathers there. I love this touching write from a childs' eyes and a child's heart. well done.
