A time to be with family and friends, thanking God for blessings he is giving. A time to share with those we love, as we savor this day called Thanksgiving. Mom, dad, children, cousins, aunts and uncles, gathering with everyone whom we care. A feast is at hand all will have their fill, turkey in the oven, aroma everywhere.

Music playing softly to enhance the mood, children sit and watch the parade on television. Warmth and love is filling the room, as we all quietly give thanks to God for his vision. Berries, nuts, cranberry sauce and minced meat pie, sweet potatoes, gravy and biscuits to name a few. All coming together to enjoy a day of feasting, with family and friends both old and new.

For all our sweet birds and other animal friends, remember to put out a few berries, nuts and bread. God himself will be pleased to know you have cared, could be the difference between living or living in dread. So celebrate this holiday's joy and delight, filled with love, gratitude and thankfulness.

Dine by candlelight for a beautiful night, a truly wonderful and fulfilling occasion indeed. Plentiful in every single way imaginable, but do not ever forget those who are in dire need. Many lost their job, home and health these days, unfortunate circumstances, loneliness and poverty. You can make a difference in a variety of ways; do not forget to invite those to your home. Some may not have friends or family members, and are left spending Thanksgiving alone.

Support our troops especially in Afghanistan and Iraq; they are without their families, fighting for us. Every minute of every day they fear an attack, participate in a food or charity drive. What we take for granted, many are lacking, some need assistance just to merely survive. As a nation, we are safe, happy, protected and loved; remember to say a prayer thanking God above.
