Soul's release comes from sadness today. I found out a friend has betrayed our friendship with lies and misconceptions. It really hurts my soul but my soul has released this pain and this poem has come about.
"Soul's Release"

Sometimes the truth is not what you want to hear;
You think you know someone,
and then the next moment they do something that hurts you so badly.
Sometimes the truth is what you need to hear;
You think that person would not be capable of such harm,
and then the next moment you learn of their betrayal.
Sometimes the truth is hard to believe;
You think that person would never betray you in that way,
and then the next moment you are hit in the face with the truth.
Sometimes the truth is bittersweet,
You knew that person was betraying you,
and the next moment your soul lets you hear the truth.
Sometimes the truth is all there is,
and you now see that person for who they really are
and the next moment your soul sets you free from their betrayal.
Author's Notes: I trusted a friend to be honest and caring, to only find out everything was not true . MP this is dedicated to your truth.

Your words are laced with saddness. Your verse honest to the realization of hurt, the understanding of that hurt, and then, the release of that hurt. Your spiritual strength will always overcome your physical pain. The positive energy from the "3" will prevail and bring you to a new destiny.

You've expressed a universal occurence. This happens all the time. We are born trusting those we love and care for, and then we step from our perfect little world of family and start meeting others. We give our new acquaintance our trust, and then they abuse it. The worst ones are those who lead you into tight-woven friendships with sweet double-talk, and then betray you.
Your poem certainly touched a nerve of understanding of what you're saying. Isn't it sad that people have to be like that?

Betrayal is always heart wrenching especially if it's a well liked person you trusted completely, yet it is a gift to know you have the spirit of forgiveness to be able to let your soul be free of their deception. Excellent write!

In the internet world we really know no-one, but in relationships where we see and interact daily and one betrays us it's brutal...but you have done the right thing by releasing your hurt this way, for in doing so 'you heal'. Blessings Amber, love holly

Those kind of people who stab so deep are surely not poets, or do
have rusty iron hearts.

Oh Amber! I am so sorry! I hate this happened to you! It happened to me and hurt me so very badly. Once a person breaks a trust, it makes it hard to ever trust again. I will add you to my prayers!!
