Sunshine's Sunburst

Sunshine warms my face
Sadness never leaving a trace
of what is deep within
knowing I must begin
to release the inner turmoil
beckoning to feel, again, royal.
Sunshine embraces my heart,
deploying this sadness to depart.
Embarking on a soul's journey afar
reaching up into the night's star
to beckon that light of healing
knowing for what I am dealing.
Sunshine penetrates my inner core
banishing this sadness that I abhor.
The waves of warmth abate
the sadness of lost love's gate.
When will I be free
from your negative energy?
Amber this is a stunning write but
A beautiful shower of sunshine always cleanses the soul
And inspires the spirit cleansing all negative energy

Amber, sunshine clears my soul of heartache and pain so I can relate to this. Over the years, I've found that time is the only true healer of a lost love...but in time, it does heal to a point you can live with the hurt. A person may never forget that love but time eases the pain. A good poem.
Sunshine chases away the shadows and the creatures that nourish with pain and sadness, and the golden rays will clean the patina of gray.

In Florida, ironically we sometimes forget how healthy it is to take a short physical and mental sunbath every day that it is out. Because the sun is so intense here, I find myself escaping it too often, others just take it for granted.

Beautiful poem Amber, you have to keep stoking that warmth within that the sun put there and keep you positivity factor ahead of the negativity. We are only what we allow ourselves to be! To me,you are an overcomer ,and this is just a blip on your radar screen that will soon be gone...
