Poem Artwork

The girl was a blond, a drop dead gorgeous,

Fantastic figure… and she had the call…

She was a call girl… and non-contagious…

It’s not exactly a crime after all.

Feeling under the whether, bit run down,

Not quite up to earning her daily bread,

Went to her doctor just before sundown…

…And he advised her to stay out of bed…

Oi! Peter!

Was fuer'n Schpass! (What fun!)
Did you draw that illustration too? I see "Oszi" signed there.

I always wondered with all your poems what was there first: the poem or the illustration? I see that this pen drawing was "artisticated" ca. 1950 and this poem was written in 1998. Thus it must follow, that this is not an illustration. However, it is a great "poetication" of this picture!

This, just to let you know how much I enjoy your art - which ever one!

Mazal tov = Congratulations!
Gabor
