Now that I retired I am very tired,

Being old ’n retired suits me not.

Peace what I desired, but damned fate conspired

To give me absolutely naught.

So I decided I shan’t be blighted

By my retirement’s ugly rot,

I shall be guided - not just half-hearted -

To end “Retirement” with a dot.

So as from now on, there will be new dawn,

I’ll fulfil my own requirement.

Ring the carillon, cross the Rubicon,

I’m retiring from retirement.
