I love you like the deli aisle
like shopping carts in the snow
like minimum wage plus ten cents

I love you like all-night discussions
    like gold BMWs
like goodbye notes on Disney princess paper

I love you like Antelope Island
    like house-warming parties
    like nothing's happening (kind of)

I love you like Mexican blankets
    like the outfield at night
    like Rainbird sprinklers

I love you like red convertibles
like early-morning drives home, lips still a-tingle
like watching you sit on another man's lap

I love you like picnic tables
    like police spotlights
    like lathe-spun bowls of potpourri

I love you like cream-colored limestone on an emerald hill
    like facing mirrors
    like eternity

I love you like lighthouse fish tanks
    like caramel sauce and milkshakes
    like white dress shirts

I love you like Sundays in June
    like Thursdays in April
    like New Years Day

I love you like green quartzite
    like orange gerbera daisies
    like junipers among headstones

I love you like eight acres of pasture
like breathy wind in white pines
    like meadowlarks

I love you like you
I love you like love
I love you like me

A rather unique love poem. But one I really dig for its creativity and cleverness. This seems to express all the high and low points of how we love. And I think that since women are more conversational when it comes to love, they would delight in reading it even if it has some rather lowbrow view of the quality of love expressed (minimum wage plus 10¢, pasture, etc.). Any woman loves the word love stated many times.

You've used the three most common words ever written,
but in a couple of dozen ways never before expressed.
For originality you get A+++++++++++++++.

I'd say there's lots of love in this unique poem.

Wow! Some of this stuff I love and others I would not like at all! Examples: Like house-warming parties or like police spotlights! This seems kind of humorous to me! LOL

Sounds like there is a whole lot of memories wrapped up in that love. But it sounds whole, complete, and unending.
