Wise woman of white buffalo
resides within my breast.
Unyielding to earthly demands,
she summons me to rest.

In medicine pouch she carries
symbols of healing, hope –
herbs and plants, gemstones and berries
bound with sinewy rope.

Feather fixed behind her left ear
gift of hawk, red-shouldered.
She attunes senses, chases fear
to ash of my pain, now smoldered.

Strong healer, fair friend, daughter mine,
God released you in me,
breathed grace and turned water to wine.
