Imago Dei –
in the image of God
we, an intelligent species
with capacity for extraordinary goodness,
were created.

And yet many
have given themselves
over to vain practices and
trivial pursuits if not to the manifestation
of evil itself.

We tiptoe
toward an uncertain future.
Wisdom wanes and shadows
fall like autumn leaves bearing
news of death.

Let us swim
through time and space
and enter again as a people
the womb that is the mind of God,
surrendering

Insatiable hunger
for material gain, dominance
and control. Let us forfeit our
need to be as gods and rest in all
that is God.

God is love.
She carries new creation
He seeded, as He orders life She bore,
and We emerge again from Spirit into
light of dawn.

Imago Dei -
in the image of God
we were created, given choice.
Choose this day. Imagine a life, yours, mine,
that matters.
