And so what if I make our
Great Return and find myself
at the end of time alone
at the altar of perfection?
Do I not stand still
at the altar of perfection,
having been made perfect
through heart's true choice?
And will I not be met there,
in what is true for me,
with the deepest satisfaction,
gratitude for this life's journey?
Who can say really? Maybe
it's a hail Mary, fool's errand
gamble that will end in defeat.
But I like to play the long game
And so it is that I am
in harmony, at one with all
in which I have ever believed,
happy and content to be.
I need no other's response
to validate my choosing or my being.
Dancing alone through time,
what exquisite joy is mine.
And so what if I make our
Great Return and find myself
at the end of time alone
at the altar of perfection?
