My God cries purple tears,
bathes me in lavender forgiveness
that soothes this angry pain
whose raging flames
threaten to
consume me.

Lilac love flows through me,
summons forth straying, graying spirit
and revives dreams again,
deepens color
of spring faith
blossoming.

Hope the shade of violets
thrives in gentle rain, surprising grace.
Amethyst heart made whole,
healed by body
broken, blood
spilled like wine.

In season of wild plums
and finest vineyard grapes I am blessed
again. Autumn winds change
not this constant
presence that
blankets me.

Blackberries in winter
remind me of manna that fell like
snow, filled wandering souls
in desert dry,
thirsty for
belonging.
