If I Were a Cat

 If I were a cat, I’d be so very, very pampered.
I’d be treated like royalty.
My life would be totally care-free.
I’d just lie in the sun
Feeling its warmth and napping.

.

If I were a cat, I’d dine on tender morsels.
The food would always be served.
Never would I have to shop nor cook.
All I’d have to do is “meow.”

If I were a cat, I’d not have to bathe.
I would always be well-groomed.
No more bad-hair days!

If I were a cat, no one would say I’m lazy.
It wouldn’t matter if the whole world were crazy.
If I wanted, I could eat the daisies.

If only I were a cat!
What would others think of that?
It does not matter,
Because I’m really and truly just a cat – at heart!
