My husband decided that there needed to be an Eduardo, so he went to the El Libro de los Eduardos. Sure enough, he was in there.

We actually looked on the map of Spain. Found a the city near the coast - El Dossel [Cousin Eduardo's home].

Cousin Eduardo, from ‘Ed’spaña

By Kathy Armijo

 Cousin Eduardo from
El Dossel [ED, for short]
On the coast of ‘Ed’spaña
Learned of the fight

He knew ‘twas only one thing to do
He gathered his crew
Promising rum, fair maidens, frolicking
And lacy things, too

To Capt. LaBelle’s side he was drawn
To get even with his cousin Eds
Who’d treated him badly
Dressing him as a fair maiden when they were kids
‘Twas the Eds he was a hatin’

His Latin temper mounted
As his ship, the El Diablo (the devil) rode the ocean’s waves
Thinking of the Eds heads
Adorning his masthead

From the crow’s nest, ye’ hears
“Belle Isle’s in sight”
‘Tis a fine day to get even me thinks
Tonight’s me revenge

As the lads disembark
It’s Capt. LaBelle he seeks
Boasting to ‘ery one he meets
‘Bout ridding the isle of the Eds

To his surprise
Edwina, The Eldest and Capt. LaBelle Edwina greet him
With tales of woe
Ed, Ed, Salty Walt and their crew
Have gone cuckoo

You made me laugh--cute and saucy.

This is like a poetic battle
Between writer's of old folk lore
Of all the Ed's on the deep blue sea
Who vie for an island on some distant shore.

Forgot to mention --- He's listed in the Ancient Book of Ed [Spanish version]

If you need any assistance in its translation, please let me know!

Is he listed in the ancient book of Ed? held by Rufuz in the care of the Jersey Devil? or is he merely a product of fiction?
