Cell phone companies should include a guide on where/when to use them. Although, may would still continue to be inconsiderate.

Woops, had spelled 'peace' as piece. Apparently a Freudian slip - wanted a piece of my food. LOL!!

Cell Phone
By Kathy Armijo

Ding-a-ling.
Hear that cell phone ring.
Haven’t you heard of vibrate?
Then you wouldn’t irritate.

You’ve answered the phone.
Your voice it does drone.
I’d like to eat my dinner in peace.

What?  It’s your niece.
It's a boy?
Oh, what joy!
Give her my best.
Under my breath, “what a pest!”

Very sweet way to share your observations. You have a cell phone? Then you must be available everywhere... no way!
How many private conversations one hears these days. Exhibition is the name of the game.

Lovely.

I once told someone speaking too loudly on a cell phone in what should have been a quiet area that he was invading the privacy of my public space. It took him a moment, then he figured it out and ended his call.

Your dingaling or my dingaling. Loud public displays of idiotic chatter is the price of immediacy. I hate it, too.

They can be a nusiance but on the flip side they can be lifesavers and lovemakers...the problem is people do not practise proper etiquette no matter what.

Your poem rings my bell! IF...a great clap of thunder turned everyone deaf for a week, our country would go into a depression from the lack of cell phone usuage.

Cell phones are becoming more and more intrusive and annoying day by day. Many public places are starting to ban them. Perhaps they will go the way of smoking in public areas. Thank you, Kathy. Love and peace to you,

Often cell phones are an annoyance to me, for it appears the young ones today can't survive without one attacthed to their ear. Thanks for sharing Kathy.

Personally, I hate a cell phone. Pest, don't they love to bother us when there are things we have to do. Cute, this poem.

I hate the buggers. And it seems they are now permanently attached to many a human ear, almost 24-7, no matter where they might be. I think it's some sort of mutant Human Evolution.

And one day, I can hear the doctor exclaim: "It's a Girl, and isn't that a lovely pink one in her ear!"

LOL. Remember me requesting the doctor to prescribe a 'cell phone enema' because that was where I wanted that cell phone put. I also remember saying he had a more intimate relationship with his cell phone than he did with me. Time and place for everything. Cute.

Cellphones can be annoying. Its common for me to be in some grocery store where two or more people are carrying on conversations with wireless headsets. It looks as though they are talking to the very air in an act of insanity. That can appear quite funny.

They seem awfully heavy to be a totin on yore ear all day.

Hey, Maybe I'll get a government grant for the study of SES......"Saggy Ear Syndrome."
And win a prize from the New England Journal of Medicine, for pioneering medical research. Wouldn't that be cool?

IrriTATion, thy name is cell phone! These news ring tones, heard one the other day that had me looking for a...cat. I swear, I heard this kitty meowing. Looked all OVER! It was some guy's phone: know it gave everyone 'round him a laugh. Excellent!
