My daughter asked me a question today that I couldn't answer, I never met a question I couldn't answer but here is one....I simply stuttered my way to "Well, that's an interesting question, Nina, let me think about it"
"Mama, if God is our Father, then does that mean Jesus's wife is our mother?"
Great question Bernice, that question can't be answered because as we know it, Jesus never had a wife. Some feel that Jesus and God are the same. What about God, does he have a wife? Husband and wife, man and woman are entities of this earth. Man is born into the world by a womans womb so this is a sexual thing. God chose to bring Jesus in the world as a man and not a god, so a woman, Mary was the chosen woman. All man knows is the womb, but life can be created in other ways, even man knows how to clone. There are other intelligent forms of existence, we just haven't met them physically yet, the angels and God are proof of this if you have faith. Think about this, when man clones other forms of man in the lab, will they look at us as being God? Here's another one for you, maybe we are clones created by man that progressed further into time and intelligence. After all the longer we exist the smarter we get, the car replaced the horse, the airplane mimmicks the bird, the computer is actually artificial intelligence getting smarter everyday, soon robots will appear, how will they look at their creators? until you think about it. You did not give an immediate
answer. That gives you enough time to examine how you
believe, and how you understand the life of Jesus.
I have my own answer for this question or this type of
question, but I will not share it right now, because my
answer is not important. What is imortant is how Bernice
understand the life of Jesus. I think that you handled
that very well.

Well it is a normal question as usually if there is a Father there is a Mother. Now if you tell her Jesus was never married is she going to ask how come He is a Father, man kids can even confuse us. I had five children and now nine grandchildren and I was never asked a question like that. Cute daughter Bernice. I'll leave this in your hands. Thank you for sharing.
Jesus never was married you could of told her. Believe she was thinking of Mary, Jesus' Mother. Don't let it go, tell her the truth while she is questioning you. She is thinking so hard about things. So amaxing from a young girl to ask this.
As they say out of the mouths of babes...love the sweet innocence that children still possess before they are brainwashed with religion's conception of blind faith...God made us with the ability to ask questions...children confirm this.
Out of the mouths of Babes. I wonder though if she was actually thinking of Mary, Jesus's "Mother"! I have heard some children get relationships mixed up.
