On earth, with man, my heart is vulnerable but with you oh God it is simply invaluable.
With you I never feel pain
Never have to worry about my heart getting broken
your love is solid as a rock
constant as the moon's light at dark
bigger than the ocean, more vast than the seas
When the world and even those I love turn around and
poke at my insecure heart
I only have to turn to you and I'm at peace again
knowing someone loves me much, much better
yours is the yeast that makes the dough rise
the smile from a caring stranger
the smell of beauty on every rose
the fire that makes a house a warm home
the last coin in a pauper's hand
yours is the answer to all my prayers
and loving you has been the best gift I ever offered myself
I love you Father
Maybe the opening thought... "On earth, with man, my heart is vulnerable but with you oh God it is simply invaluable." And another one: "your love is as constant as the moon's light at dark; I only have to turn to you and I'm at peace again" maybe switch words around a tiny bit for poetry's sake "have only" instead of "only have?" It's up to you. And another: "Loving you has been the best gift I ever offered myself"...again, you can poke it around to fit better, but I think it'd be perfect for one with a wise man on the front. Beautiful thoughts. Truly beautiful. --Charlie
