dream - another world

it was a restless night
the kind you keep waking up
too hot…too cool
the cat yowls at some point
hazy in and out of consciousness

a sensation occurs
in the solar plexus
like butterflies yet
a thousand times more powerful
movement at the speed of light
traveling a tunnel, worm hole
hurling through space
arriving in an instant

looking at a landscape
like an alien world
dark blue, grey clouds
steady lightening
the ceiling is a cloud cover
the ceiling breathes
in breath, out breath
a man standing in front of me
tattered brown clothes and hat
watching me
he is inhaled back into the ceiling
exhale, a projected image of a bed
a man on his back
a woman on top
awareness they are naked and coupling
inhaled,  back into the ceiling
exhale, an image of a man
sitting on the edge of the bed
a naked profile
shoulder, hip, thigh
inhale, he returns back into the ceiling

I am an observer
no feelings, no interaction
like watching through glass
awareness then, I am waking in my bed
an owl hoots near by
I get up its 3:50 am
I sit outside and light a cigarette
the quarter moon is rising over the
distant eastern hills like a
smile hovering
the stars are doubled in number
for its early before the light pollution
just then my peripheral vision
picks up movement and I watch
a falling star in slow motion
blaze and fade against the night sky

Powerful write and powerful dream sequences that open the mind as to what could be their possible meaning in your own world. Dreams are sometimes forrunners of things to come or things that are past. Either way it's kind of eerie.

A marvelous trip you have taken us on with this dreamscape scene. We all have been there, yes, but you have brought the near-sleep, near-awake surrealistic visions alive. Damn good job!
