Poem Artwork

gems sitting among hardened rocks
sparkling, colors
filled of knowing something

i pick up a red one
and rub its color in my palms
an instant warm
of softer heart, relaxed limbs
and moistened lips
seductive and sensual
my dress strap slips
over my shoulder
cascading hair escapes its clip

i wanted more, it was not enough
as it worked its magic
beyond my senses
potent was the spell of desire
delivering near agony a
anguish of pulse
throughout my veins
at quickened pace
blushing limbs, hands and face|

i panted, eyes a glaze
seeking your mouth, lips, and tongue
to sate this flame ignited
slowly, you said with full control
as you taunt and tease
with dragons breath, dripping
both hot and wet upon
my lips, neck and breasts
then with a lion’s purr
you shift into a king of beasts
growling, you bite
my inner thighs
i squeal to your pleasure pain
raking my claws across your mane
the animals’ lust consuming us
we roll and tumble
pure passion unleashed
desire could be so wickedly sweet

lion now turns into rearing steed
and mounts to ride his wanting pride
already i’m screaming,
to the stars we fly,
and like a rocket you lift us off
beyond the place
where everything twinkles
and glitters all night
you throb, you moan,
your forehead beads sweat
meanwhile that gemstone
is glowing fire red
heating that friction
we’d come to know
of the heat and the fury
sparked so long ago
visions of faces, of lifetimes,
and ancients swirl the room
oh god, i scream
as the room fills of light
like a command performance
to the holy night

my arms wrapped around
holding on tight
as wings from your back
burst into sight
you wing us to a soft
silky petal
we are now reduced in size
we roll in the nectar
still kissing each other
the passion waning
into heartfelt love
compassion and kindness
gentles our mood
with caress and soft touches
making love in the petals
dissolving into something
so beyond our selves
liquid and languid
like a silk worm’s cocoon

happy and sated
as we melt away
i hear that gemstone
tumbling free
landing below at the petal’s feet
where it waits for another
somewhere in time,
its secret
to be discovered.....

Love this colourful and sensual depiction of passion... All-encompassing and transcendent in the ways in which it makes us feel "at one" with every element of life and living, all things animate and inanimate. And I like the way you so bring to life the inherent qualities of those talisman substances which can quicken our very sense of being alive in the most passionate sense, firing us up in every way. I love this fiercly passionate write that evokes the feral passion of the beast and the jungle and all things brought down to the lowest common denominator...desire.
