i notice when i don't write for awhile...words often tend to stack up...as evidence by this one...:)

Poem Artwork

because it has driven my spirit for as long as I can remember
and politics bores me
sporting competition doesn’t hold my attention
unless of course I am playing the game
I abhor violence and find solace avoiding it
in any form including hollywood’s exaggerated
impression of its many forms and glorification

more often than not I’m experiencing my life as it arrives
neither planning too far ahead nor reminiscing of days gone
past
lately, I create, read, think, rest, sleep, eat, and take pictures
of things I find lovely which is usually the natural world
but some things of man also seem to loosen something within
my brains’ translation of uplifting

I’d rather prepare myself for a joyful day
and when its not I allow its passing
without a wollow in any disappointment

my place in the world is absolutely miniscule and without
much footprint or impact and I prefer it that way so
my social interaction is limited because I’m easily
drained by the emotional energy of others and no one listens
to anything other than themselves anyway

I agree… nothing really matters and what I do or do not do
with my personal existence is how I choose to enjoy it

I’m learning to be less judgmental of both myself and
the greater world  because really the value of living
comes down enjoyment, why would I want to live any other
way
the world is amazingly abundant and miraculous if you take
the time to notice

often I just sit looking through the eyes of this suit of flesh
completely detached to the mind chattering and concentrate
on who it is that is actually doing the watching, this silent
internal observer alive before these molecules congealed into
this form
alive after they have decayed back into the organic matter
from which they were created

spirit.. incredible volumes of energy, the ever changing present reality, the excited anticipation, synchronicity, and coherence
within the wilderness of ones self expression

Excellent title! Nothing perfunctory here Debby! Philosophic thoughts laced with humility. A wonderful combination and a fine read. Enjoyed!

When we interact and give during times of experiencing the wilderness of our self-expression, then, irrespective of our own feelings of "barrenness", the wilderness that we thereby touch cannot fail to bloom. The act of giving is in itself creative and enriching - both to self and others. Let the rivers of words flow, Debby! TY Kate xx

A voice with honesty, will be stronger; a voice with underlying pain is an statement of fortutide as the bearer ventures into an emotional jungle in search of the perfect words to tell what he or she feels.
Well done.

Spirit:who it is before the molecules made you; who it is after the molecules dissolve -- I find mine sinking lately, and then of a sudden soaring high. My spirit has a fever of 107. A little poetic asprin then... Thank you for the perspective. --Charlie
