Patience, who knew its length
some of us are so easily adaptive
others not so much
yet overall getting better

as the world of instant gratification
and immediate results
waiting becomes hair twirling
finger tapping and feet shuffling

not referring to the lines of
entrance or exits
traffic jams or public transportation

these are esoteric thoughts
of worldly proportions
the upper deck of aspirations
affecting Love upon humankind
and ethics of unification
assuring the awakening of the self
knowing we are the ONE

compassion and not indifference
overtakes my e-motions
knowing suffering somewhere
has been extinguished
and not through death but
birth, as a soul progressed
and was lifted from the lower levels
of the consciousness, and is

still here, still functioning, yet different
a bit brighter, a bit happier, a bit healthier

and so it goes....

in mini steps, or baby moments the heart
is flooded by something more real than
this stage of pretend experience

each step leads to the next, each deeper
than before, each fuller than the last...
one day, within a quantum moment
you will arrive...and laugh

because you'll know, you are and always were
but didn't have the awareness to use it

ah....patience, it's a good thing

patience is a rich and luscious fruit, not a fast-food quick fix. it is grown from within and has its roots in belief and faith. it stands firm outside of prevailing circumstance and is an unshakeable state of spirit, mind and heart. what you believe governs how you will conduct yourself in all things in life - especially the "little" things. patience is not a "virtue" but is usually hard-earned and a powerful source of overcoming that has been born and nurtured through much investment. indeed, Debby, it is a VERY good thing! thanks so much for these life-giving thoughts. xx
