Gangs are all around us, even in the country. This is just a way to laugh instead of cry...
My hood's in da woods
But my hommies ain't whack
We ain't cookin' no meth
We ain't dealin' no crack
We got our own kinda drive-by
But we ain't bringin' no guns
We just slingin' our bats
When we be out on our run
We ain't shootin' up no houses
We ain't aimin' to mame
We just playin' up some baseball
On yo mailbox and yo name
You think we hangin' idle
Livin' out here in da woods
But down this country road
Is a whole 'nother hood
You can tend to the hatin'
Rival gangs throwin' down
We'll tend to cultivatin'
And sell our crops in your town
Cuz yo know we got dat doddy
Growin out in the shed
We toke it in the corn field
And get mellow in da head
We fly our colors bright and proud
But the po po got no clue
Bandanas ain't for wipin' sweat
But to claim our colors true
So come out to da country
Drive down a dusty road
Just 'memba what I'm rappin
When ya roll up with yo load
Yo hood is in da city
Ya got bangers in yo hood
Don't bring 'em slingin' bullets
To my hood here in da woods
I'm chillin with my Gs
Gettin' wasted and laid back
I ain't into all yo hatin'
And yo attempts at lame attacks
But if you want to chill
And lay back in the weeds
Head yo ass out to da country
And I'll help you do da deed
Don't go thinkin' I'm a "Jethro"
Or my ho's a "Ellie Mae"
You're ignorant and backwards
If ya profile me dat way
Cuz While you're drivin' by
Stealin', dealin' with no sense
I'm out here in da woods
Shootin' beer cans off da fence
If yo think I got a shotgun
Take a little education
With a scope here on my glock
You'll take a permanent vacation
So round yo hommies up
And take a trip down to da farm
Just leave yo 'tude at home
and I'll do ya little harm
But if ya come out hatin'
Sprayin' bullets all around
You'll be coyote dinner
As your life seeps in the ground

Soldier's Gap
by David Schwinghammer
Deputy Dave Jenkins sets out to find the murderer of the local high school principal, aided by a voice from the grave that is sometimes helpful and sometimes misleading.
"Murder isn't usually this funny."
