Are there ever any answers?
I keep thinking of a phrase I remember reading, "Friends come into your life for a reason, and they go out of your life for a reason." It is sad when a friendship breaks up and one person is left wondering why. Betrayal answers what, but it doesn't answer why, and it leaves an open wound that doesn't want to heal. I know because I've been there.

people are easily betrayed by what they desire.. the ones that can fight it are good friends. those people are hard to find. great poem.

It's hard to understand why this happens and when it happens especially if a trust is broken.

Hi Mary,your friend will indeed appreciate this poem a lot.I can honestly say that I know how it feels to have a best friend betrayed me especially on her birthday.Its very devestating,but life goes on and in reality she wasn't good enough for me to begin with and I'm glad I don't have to deal with her negativity anymore.That happened 4 years ago.Your friend knows it is painful,but she needs look at the brighter things and realize that she can pick herself up and move on with her life.She don't need to be with someone that will treat her wrong.I just dont know why friends would do these things to their best friends.How can people call themselves human beings and not have any compassion for their words or actions in front of other people.I hope she will have the strength to move on.Take good care of yourself.

When a death of friendship occurs, everything else dies along with that too.
