Five months words unspoken
Silence screamed between Mother and Daughter
And through it all, both hearts were broken.
Pride, a deadly sin, they both committed, but
Didn’t understand, no one could win.
Who was to say “I’m sorry first”, if no one
Did, it would only get worse.
Then it happened, tongues were loosened again,
When her child and the mother’s grandchild,
No longer could rise from her bed.
Differences aside, they couldn’t remember
what happened. They just wanted the little
girl well again. She did recover and they
knew what fools they had been. And as it
says in the Bible, “a little child shall lead
them.”

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D
This has resonance and meaning for so many families and individuals and the humility and true strength necessary to say 'sorry' sadly absent. It's often only at times of grief that hearts are reconciled.
